Do I file a motion for a hearing to enforce the decree or do I send him a certified letter telling him to transfer it?
Can you contact the companies and send them a copy of the decree so they do it?
Have you called the credit card company to see if they will remove you? Maybe they will do it for you will the copy of the decree. Otherwise, if go through your lawyer.
I don't know if it's the same in your county (or state) as it is in mine but in our decree, listed under Creditor's Notice, it states: "Since your creditors are not parties to this court case, they are not bound by court orders or any agreements you and your spouse reach in this case. On request, the court may impose a lien against the separate property of a spouse to secure payments of debts that the court orders the spouse to pay." Not sure if this helps at all but it's worth calling the credit card companies and your lawyer-even if it's a no.
Use an attorney!!! If there is an RO then "No contact" means "No Contact". And a registered letter IS contact!!! I hear you loud and clear though. My Ex stole the family van that I drove exclusively. Refused to give it back. Made payments late. Just late enough to ruin my credit which was impeccable prior. He did this on purpose!!! He finally paid vehicle off and has not removed my name off the title. It is written in divorce decree he is to do this. He is currently trying to run an insurance scam saying someone did a hit and run on him in that van. I have pictures of the van after he had a single car collision all by himself... several months before.
